Blanksheet is a creative collective. So you are getting as many people as it takes to do the job. But whatever goes in and goes out will be seen, overseen and/or most likely co-created by our two principals: Peter Martin ran a successful advertising agency in Asia, where he accumulated a wealth of experience working on clients as diverse as SAAB, South African Airlines, Microsoft and Christian Dior, to name a few... He is partnered by PJ a.k.a. Lady Edge, a talented musician, songwriter, performer and producer, as well as art director and graphics designer for Blanksheet. Together they form a highly effective creative team whereby he provides creative direction and writing, while PJ executes layouts and designs as well as production of music and sound tracks for TV and radio. Peter has forged a career combining the disciplines of science with the freedom of unconstrained creative curiosity. He spent two years at Reading University studying Physiology and Biochemistry of Farm Animals. Lacking the James Herriot touch he then moved to King’s College London, graduating with an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, if only on the strict understanding he didn’t try and build anything. So he went into advertising, first as an account executive but as soon as he possibly could by getting into the creative side as a copywriter. With his scientific background added a further complementary component to his understanding of how to explain and sell complex products, stories and ideas to diverse audiences. With the last 80's recession he headed East to seek his fortune, working his way up through the hierarchies of many major advertising agencies to both Account and Creative Director levels. This has provided Peter with a unique insight into both the strategic and creative aspects of any marketing campaign. After several years he eventually founded his own agency in his spare bedroom in Singapore. Within a few years it was one of the country’s most successful agencies, with an unrivalled reputation for creativity and professionalism. Major blue-chip clients included Porsche, Christian Dior, Microsoft & Northwest Airlines, to name but a few. At the peak of its success, for both personal and professional reasons, he sold his agency and headed back to the UK. A music production division of his agency had spawned a fully-fledged record label, which enjoyed a top 40-chart album success with its debut. This label has blossomed and was combined by Peter with several other creative ventures into Firebird.com Ltd, a creative collective offering a turnkey collection of complementary copy, art, video and music services. His hobbies include reading and writing. But his main love is invention, design and DIY, and he spends as much time as he can afford coming up with ideas. Which perhaps, more than anything, explains Junkk.com. What started as a small personal mission to help save the planet is also turning into something big.
