Most Direct Mail (DM) is consigned very promptly into the waste bin. Why? It’s boring. It’s predictable. It’s boring (it’s important to repeat this). And it doesn’t have an idea.

Our DM work has ideas built-in. Even if the budget only gives us the potential of using an A4 piece of paper, we’ll make sure it’s the most impactful one the target has ever received. It will be written and designed to be both engaging and persuasive. But what’s good fun is being able to suggest something novel, that not only gets read, but stays on the desk. Creating such work requires a mindset lacking with other top-flight creatives: below-the-line doesn’t mean it’s beneath you.
